Escape from Tarkov - Big Update brings new features, weapons and items

 After the partially unsuccessful beta start of Escape from Tarkov, the developers are now doing everything possible to iron out the old errors. In the current update, a large number of changes have been made and new content has been implemented.


New equipment, better AI

The update brings several new weapons to Escape from Tarkov, such as the AKM assault rifle and the DVL 10 M1 sniper rifle. There are also new items of equipment, such as the Kolpak 1S helmet and the Pilgrim travel backpack. In addition, weapons are now "blindly" fired from cover by hotkey (ALT + W / S).

Furthermore, various changes were made to the perception of the scav opponents as part of AI optimizations: they can no longer see you easily through trees and bushes. In addition, the existing communication system including gestures has been completed. The players can now access the full range of calls and hand signals, which makes non-verbal communication with foreign players in Tarkov easier.

AI now reacts to missed shots.

Fixed a bug that prevented AI opponents from throwing grenades.

New spawn points for AI opponents.

Performance optimizations

Other changes and additions for Escape from Tarkov


The use of medical items via the quick selection bar now has fixed priorities:

1. The most severely injured body part, with the exception of "black" body part (value 0).

2. Bleeding body part is bandaged first.

3. Broken legs are splinted before broken legs.

4. The rest of the priorities depend on which medicine you are using (for example, a Salva kit will not favor a fracture, but bleeding or the limb with the fewest spots).

Stopping a bleeding or splinting a hernia uses more medicit / first aid kit than before.

Ammunition types now affect recoil and ballistics.

Ammunition descriptions have been changed. Now it is easier to see what effect the respective ammunition has.
